Mines

Reveal tiles, dodge the mines, cash out before your luck runs out.

Mines is a 5×5 grid with a number of hidden mines you choose yourself. Every safe tile you turn over raises your multiplier, and you can stop and take the money at any point. Choose more mines and the multiplier climbs faster — and so does the chance the next tile ends the round.

How to play

  1. 1Set your stake and pick how many mines to hide in the grid, from 1 to 24.
  2. 2Turn over any tile. A safe tile raises your multiplier; a mine ends the round.
  3. 3Cash out whenever you like. The multiplier shown is what you are paid.
  4. 4The grid layout is fixed by the round’s seed before your first pick, so no tile changes because of what you chose.

How it pays

The multiplier after each safe pick is derived from how many safe tiles remain against how many tiles are left, adjusted for the return to player. Twenty-four mines and one correct pick is the shortest round in the catalogue and the largest single step.

Is there a strategy?

There is no pick order that beats another. Every unrevealed tile carries the same probability, and the grid is committed before you touch it. What you are actually choosing is variance: fewer mines and more picks is a longer, flatter round, more mines is a shorter, sharper one.

Is it fair?

Yes, and you can check rather than take our word for it. Before a round is played we publish the SHA-256 hash of the server seed. When the seed is rotated we reveal it, and anyone can recompute every round played under it. The game’s mathematics is versioned, and each round records the version it ran on.
